Ference Hosts "Knuckle Hunt" On Stanley Cup Anniversary
BOSTON (CBS) – One year after the Boston Bruins hoisted Lord Stanley's Cup, defenseman Andrew Ference had a little fun on Twitter to help fans remember the anniversary.
Ference, who is very active on social media, had a little scavenger hunt through Boston, placing three photos of the Bruins' Stanley Cup celebration around the city. He put them in manila envelopes, and tweeted out photos of the three locations, leaving it up to fans to go find them.
With a Twitter handle of @FerKnuckles, he rightfully titled it a "Knuckle Hunt."
The locations included the docks across from the TD Garden, along the Charles River bike path, and the third winner got to meet Ference and get the photo from him personally at Harvard Stadium.
Ference has been a fan favorite in Boston since being acquired by the B's in 2007. The blue-liner is known for his tough play on the ice and laid back ways off it.
It didn't hurt when he flipped off the Montreal crowd during the B's Cup run last season, calling it an "inadvertent bird."
