Bruins Corvo Talks Tattoos With Fred Toucher
BOSTON (CBS) – 98.5 The Sports Hub's Fred Toucher went to Bruins practice on Wednesday, and got a chance to catch up with a few of the B's.
Fred spoke with new defenseman Joe Corvo, who said despite the team's struggles he is fitting in very well.
He knows the Bruins have not played their best hockey yet, but have shown they are not far from bouncing back.
"We've shown that we're capable of playing a good game," said Corvo. "Just knowing we're a great team looking for its game, it's comforting in itself. Rather than a team (that's) giving it everything and you can't do much better, that's pretty discouraging. But we're not in that position."

One thing Fred noticed with Corvo was his collection of tattoos. Corvo has the upper half of his left arm covered, a star on each side of his upper torso, and a few tats on his right arm, just to list a few.

"I got a lot of the tribal stuff was when I was younger, in my 20s," said Corvo. "They asked me if I would ever regret them. I don't know if I regret them but I'd rather have better ones."

"I also have a Disney character on my body. I think I'm one of three guys that have the Tasmanian Devil playing hockey," he admitted.
"That's a 16-year old thing," he said of the Taz tattoo.
Fred also caught up with goaltender Tuukka Rask, who has only played in two of the Bruins first eight games. Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli mentioned on Monday he would like to get Tuukka into a few more games in the near future, but Rask is not complaining about his amount of ice time.

"Coach makes the final decisions who's is playing and who's not, and I'm not going to criticize him on that. I'm sure I'll get some starts here in the future," he said.
The Bruins are coming off a stretch where they had five days between games, and were given Tuesday off from practice. After their shaky start, Rask said it was a much-needed break from hockey.
"We definitely needed it. I thought everyone was getting a little mentally tired; the long run last year and then the short summer and you have to get right back at it. Everybody was getting a little tired, but I hope it works in our advantage in the future now," said Rask.
