Bruins Change Things Up In Vancouver, Not Feeling Pressure
BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Bruins decided to change things up a little bit when they arrived in Vancouver Tuesday afternoon.
Instead of taking the evening off, Boston hit the ice for a quick practice.
"It was good, just to get all the plane legs out-of-the-way and be ready for tomorrow," said Patrice Bergeron, who leads the Bruins with 14 postseason assists.
"It felt good. It's a long plane ride out here with a time change. Just to get the blood flowing, get the legs going a little bit it was great," said Rich Peverley.
The Bruins have looked sluggish to start their games in Vancouver, especially in their 1-0 Game 5 loss, so why not try something new as they try to end a 39-year Cup drought.
One of the keys to winning Game 7 will be to come out firing on all cylinders and find a rhythm early on.
"We have to play on our toes. That's what we did at home. Not wait what they're going to bring to us," said Bergeron. "We have to come out hard on our toes and play. Don't sit back. Play."

"I think the details and the little things are what decide a game like this," said Peverley. "Whoever brings a consistent effort throughout the game."
The Bruins will not skate Wednesday morning, which has been normal practice for them on game-days in Vancouver. Instead they will relax and wait for the biggest game of their careers.
But do not think the Bruins are feeling any pressure heading into Game 7.
"I wouldn't call it pressure like that. It's more we want to win. We want to win," said Tim Thomas. "We want all the work that we've put into this whole season and this whole playoffs to payoff and accomplish that goal that we've set ourselves towards, which is winning the Stanley Cup."

"I can only speak for myself, but I'm not thinking of it as pressure," said Thomas. "I'm thinking of it more of this is the reality. The series is tied 3-3; Game 7 tomorrow; we're on the road; we have to find a way to win this game to get what we want, which we all know what that is."
If there is any pressure, the B's will make sure to use it to their advantage.
"You should use the pressure and make sure it helps you, but like I said before, it's a childhood dream and that's why you have to enjoy it," said Bergeron.

Boston will also not let the Vancouver fans get to them when they hit the ice.
"The crowd is basically just background noise when we're on the road and when I'm playing," said Tim Thomas, who has only given up five goals in three games at Rogers Arena. "When you're at home, you can feel the positive energy. But when you're on the road, I don't feel the negative energy. It's just there."
