Bruins and Penguins Face Off Tonight
The last time the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins met, The Bruins lost their best offensive player to a concussion after a hit from Matt Cooke. Cooke is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the teams meet again at TD Garden. Cooke was not penalized for his hit on Marc Savard and did not receive a suspension or fine from the NHL. The Bruins are currently holding on to the eighth and final postseason berth in the Eastern Conference. Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin missed Wednesday's game with a foot injury and is considered questionable for the game.
Boston's Blake Wheeler, Dennis Wideman and Johnny Boychuk missed the team's mornings skate with flu-like symptoms. The team has recalled Jeff Penner and Trent Whitfield from Providence on an emergency basis. Tuukka Rask is expected to start in goal for the Bruins.
Dave Goucher and Bob Beers will have the call on 98.5 The Sports Hub. Coverage will get underway at 6:30 PM with the Dunkin Donuts Bruins Pre-Game Show.
