Brown Supporters Seen Performing Tomahawk Chops In New Video
BOSTON (AP) — Supporters of U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and a staffer from the Massachusetts Republican Party are seen shouting war whoops and performing tomahawk chops in a new video.
The actions are an apparent reference to Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren's claims of Native American heritage.
A spokesman for the Massachusetts Republican party confirmed that among those in the video was Brad Garnett, a field coordinator for the party.
The Brown campaign has declined to say if any campaign staffers were involved.
The video was posted online by the Democrat-leaning Blue Mass Group, which said the video was taken at a rally for Brown in Boston on Saturday.
Brown told reporters Tuesday he hadn't seen the video, but that it wouldn't be something he'd condone.
He stopped short of saying whether he would consider disciplining staffers if they were involved.
