Yawkey Way was turned into the starting line for the third annual Run-Walk To Home Base.

It was a 7-mile run to help raise money to treat soldiers who are returning from combat who are suffering from PTSD.

Around 2,000 runners took part, including Sen. Scott Brown.

Brown says combat-related stress and trauma are very real illnesses.

"Something that's evolved that we now understand when our soldiers are coming home, they're different, some of them," said Sen. Brown. "And you say 'Aw it's just the stress of the battle,' it's a lot deeper than that. And the fact that Mass. General Hospital is doing Yeoman's work in this area."

Runners who finished the race got their pictures taken as they cross Fenway Park's home plate.

NESN said the race raised more than $2 million.
