Brown Hammers Obama On Foreign Policy In Campaign Stump With John McCain
DERRY, N.H. (CBS) –Sen. John McCain of Arizona paid a visit to New Hampshire Monday to endorse Scott Brown in his run for the Senate.
The two hosted a town hall in Derry.
The theme of Monday's town hall was foreign policy and Brown tried to hammer President Obama.
"There are so many issues on the table right now that are affecting our foreign policy," said Brown. "And what is the president doing, he's on vacation, he's golfing."
Brown calls incumbent Sen. Jeanne Shaheen a rubber stamp for the president's policies.
Democrats were quick to pounce on McCain's endorsement.
"John McCain's visit does provide a great reminder of whose priorities Brown really shares," said Julie McClain, New Hampshire Democratic Party Communications Director. "And they're most definitely not New Hampshire's."
Before he hopes to face off against Shaheen, Brown must first get through the primary in September. His challengers are former New Hampshire State Sen. Jim Rubens and former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith.
