Brookline Bank Robber Apologizes, Thanks Tellers After Getting Cash
BROOKLINE (CBS) - A man who has robbed a bank in Brookline twice in the last two months apologized to tellers and thanked them as he took off on Tuesday, police say.
Officers say the suspect walked into the Eastern Bank on Harvard Street, pulled a black hand gun, banged it on the counter and demanded money.
A teller at the bank recognized the man as the same person who held up the bank on May 9.
After receiving cash, the suspect apologized and thanked the tellers, police say.
He's described as a white man in his thirties.
A third bank robbery, at a Citibank on Harvard Street in November 2013, may also be connected.
Anyone with information is asked to call Brookline police at (617) 730-2222 extension 2710.
