A Brockton woman charged with fatally stabbing a retired school teacher in her Bridgewater condominium has been ordered held without bail.

Authorities say 54-year-old Eunice Fields went to the Brockton police station splattered in blood on Monday and told officers she had killed someone. Police responding to the Kingswood Park Village Condominiums found 62-year-old Lorraine Wachsman stabbed to death.

Prosecutors say, Wachsman, a facilitator for Alcoholics Anonymous, was counseling Fields, and Fields blamed Wachsman for the breakup with her girlfriend.

Fields pleaded not guilty to charges including murder.

Her attorney says she suffers from bipolar disorder.

Police said Wachsman taught English in Randolph for nearly 40 years.
