Brockton Teacher Could Get Free Trip To The Super Bowl
BROCKTON (CBS) - Wouldn't it be nice to get a free trip to the Super Bowl? And it would be even nicer if you got to travel with the team. It will happen for 10 lucky people courtesy of the Kraft family.
What the team's owners have done is to solicit nominations of "Super People", who give themselves to their communities. Several thousand have been nominated, people like teachers and firefighters and police officers.
One of the nominees is a Brockton teacher named Sal (don't call her Sally) Morrill, an elementary school teacher who focuses on helping kids who need it most. Sometimes the kids have just arrived in the United States, and know very little English. "This is what it's all about," says Morrill. "The kids, helping them learn, and become good citizens."

Morrill also volunteers as a coach in the Special Olympics. "She coaches at other schools, when she sees that they have the need. She's just a tremendously giving and caring person," says Laurie Silva, another teacher in the Brockton schools.
"It's nothing special about me," says Morrill. "I think teachers in general are giving people, I just happen to be one of them."
But her principal at the Huntington School disagrees that she's not special. "Sal is one of the most giving people I have ever met and not just with the kids, but with the staff, too," says June Saba. "I don't think she's ever had a down day."
As for the Patriots, Sal says she's a huge fan, and for three hours on Sundays, it's about the only time she's not involved with kids.
The Patriots are expected to announce the 10 winners this weekend.
