Alleged Murderer's Dad Involved In Standoff With Brockton Police
BROCKTON (CBS) - The father of an alleged murderer threatened officers during a two-hour standoff at his Brockton apartment on Sunday morning.
Police say David Luke called them around 9:30 a.m.
"He said he had a gun and he was going to start shooting," said Brockton Police Chief William Conlon. "He wanted to explain apparently his sadness at what his son had done a couple years ago."

David is the father of Keith Luke, arrested in 2009 for allegedly raping a woman and fatally shooting two other people in a racist rampage. Keith Luke is also infamous for carving a swastika in his forehead while behind bars.
His father's distressed call brought heavy police presence to the Crescent Street address.
SWAT team members surrounded the building and officers helped all other residents evacuate the building.
"You could hear him through the vents, just him yelling," said a man who only identified himself as Larry.
Larry also lives on the second floor and was on his computer when police arrived.
"The one cop that was sitting out by the tree told me to come out the back door."
During the standoff, Luke reportedly threatened officers from the window while holding his cell phone.
"He was saying stuff like 'I was in the military I know where my blind spots are, I got the sun to my back,'" said a neighbor who watched from across the street.
It ended just after 11 a.m. when Luke passed out.
"He was on the floor he was slumped on the floor apparently he had taken an overdose of medication," said Chief Conlon.
Officers then broke down the door and brought Luke out on a stretcher. He was taken to the hospital and police say he will eventually be charged and have to appear in court pending his medical evaluation.
