Brockton Man Reunited With Class Ring 25 Years Later

WAREHAM (CBS) - The Coyle Cassidy High School ring was lost about 25 years ago but Monday it showed up on a Wareham beach.

Charles Morrison was using his metal detector on one of his favorite beaches when he came upon the class ring, engraved with the owner's name.

Morrison decided to try and return it. That's when he found out how long that ring had been missing.

"I've found class rings dating back to 1918 so I know they're out there, I have wedding bands from the 1920's, I've found a lot of different and interesting items," Morrison said. "It seemed like it would be an easy one for me to return because it wasn't that old by my standards."

The owner of the ring, Thomas Sedell of Brockton couldn't believe it when he got the call.

"Miraculously it is in the same condition," Sedell wrote in an email to WBZ.
