Today will start off with mist, drizzle, and patchy fog.

Then, there will off-and-on showers this afternoon before showing signs of drying out this evening.

There is the slim chance that our neighborhoods north and west of the city may view some bright spots before sunrise this evening at 7:44 p.m. Highs will be mainly be in the lower 70s.

The midweek forecast will brighten your spirit!

On Wednesday, sunshine will be included with highs back in the 80's.

Thursday will be sunny with increasing late-day clouds.

There will be a very slim chance of a spot afternoon storm across the northern and western suburbs. Highs will be in the 80's as well.

Friday will be the return of scattered showers and storms.

A low chance of showers and storms will stick with us through Saturday although I don't expect a washout.

Atlantic Tropical Update: T.S. Gert continues to weaken and increase its speed towards the northeast.

We are also watching a cluster of storms with potential of becoming our next named storm...'Harvey'.  This area of low pressure is currently in the Eastern Caribbean.
