Breezy & Dry

We are starting to sound like broken records - breezy and dry.

That's the majority of the forecast.

When combining these continuously dry conditions, the lack of snow this past winter, warm temperatures, and breezy conditions,  it's understandable as to why we continue with Red Flag Warnings for nearly the entire viewing area (Cape/Islands are exempt) from midday today through this evening.

Most likely, these warnings will be issued for the same areas throughout the remainder of the week and possibly into the Easter weekend.

Today will be cloudy to start with more breaks of sunshine through midday.

However, the leading edge of cooler air will be the culprit for more evening clouds along with the chance of a brief shower.

Highs will be above normal today with thermometers reaching the lower and middle 60s.

Thursday's high temperatures will be indicative of the passage of Wedensday evening's cold front. Highs will be in the lower to middle 50s.

Friday's temperatures will be a tad warmer in the middle to upper 50s.  That being said, an upper leverl trough at the 500mb level will be the reason that diurnal clouds may develop during the afternoon hours on Thursday and Friday.  Otherwise, both days will be filled with sunshine.

Saturday (1st day of Passover) will be mostly sunny with high near 60... 50s at the coast.

Easter Sunday is looking 'more tricky'.  Both the GFS and the EURO are now depicting an area of low pressure backing in/retrograding into New England on Sunday afternoon.

Then, the chance for showers arrives Sunday evening into Sunday night.  Highs will be in the lower 60s inland...50s coast.

What's on your agenda this holiday weekend?
