Breer On Gresh & Zo: Breakdown The 'Pushing' Penalty
Patriots defensive lineman Chris Jones was flagged for a penalty after the Jets missed a potential game-winning field goal in overtime.
Jones was called for pushing a teammate into the Jets' formation. This call gave New York a first down and another 15 yards. A few plays later the Jets connected on a 42-yarder to give them a 30-27 overtime win.
NFL Network's Bert Breer joined Gresh & Zo to breakdown the overtime penalty call against the Patriots.
Breer doubts that Bill Belichick wasn't fully aware of the newly implemented rule and questions why he would risk pushing the envelope after being informed that the referees would be looking out for defenders pushing teammates onto the offensive formation during field goal attempts.
