Breer: Emmanuel Sanders Poses Biggest Matchup Problem For Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) - Albert Breer of the NFL Network came on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich Wednesday morning and covered many NFL topics, including Broncos-Patriots, the NFL trade deadline and much more.
The topic most relevant to fans in this region is obviously the big game Sunday afternoon between two of the best teams in the AFC.
It's been said ad nauseam, but the Denver Broncos are loaded with weapons on offense and present huge matchup problems all over the field.
As it relates to New England, Breer believes Emmanuel Sanders will give them the most trouble.
"One of the reasons Denver felt Emmanuel Sanders was an upgrade over Eric Decker is because he can play every spot on that offense. He's a guy you can move around and play in the slot or play outside -- all of those different things. When you've got a big outside target in Demaryius Thomas, let's assume that's Darrelle Revis' [assignment]. You're gonna do some game plan stuff to take away Julius Thomas, and now you've got this X-factor in Emmanuel Sanders who is going to be moving all around.
"You'll probably have a different guy cover Sanders on every down. I think he's the one you want to watch. That doesn't mean he's the best, because it's clear the two best weapons they have is Thomas and Thomas. I just think the way this matchup breaks down and how I think the Patriots will cover it, if the Broncos win I wouldn't be surprised if Sanders has 125 yards receiving."

Also on Toucher & Rich Wednesday morning was Darren McKee of 104.3 The Fan in Denver.
The Broncos are loaded with weapons, and McKee believes the Patriots won't have an answer for tight end Julius Thomas. Conversely, McKee adds that Denver has nobody to cover Rob Gronkowski.
McKee and Toucher & Rich had an in-depth conversation about what could end up being an AFC Championship game preview - listen below!
