Breaking Records... Severe Storms

There is a very good chance that we shatter some record high temperatures today!

We are aiming for highs between the upper 80s and 100F!

The records today (as of this morning) are:

Boston-96F in 1984 and Worcester 91F in 1933.

There will be a chance of strong/severe storms late this afternoon and this evening.

Check: Current Conditions | Weather Map Center | Interactive Radar

The main threat will be heavy rain, damaging winds, and hail.  It's an 'eye to the sky' type of day.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

A cold front pushes to the southeast late tonight providing more refreshing air in its wake on Friday.

Friday will start off murky across SE Mass.  Then, conditions will improve as skies become partly cloudy to partly sunny.   Highs will be 75-80F.

This Weekend:

The cold front affecting us today will rebound as a warm front Saturday.

This will bring us a chance of showers during Saturday afternoon/evening.

Then, we continue with cloudy skies and scattered showers/thunder through the day on Sunday. Highs will be cooler both days in the 70s.

Stay Cool!

Melissa :)
