Brandon Lloyd Misses Second Straight Practice For Patriots
FOXBORO (CBS) -- Last week, new Patriots wide receiver Brandon Lloyd pumped the brakes on any talk of him and Tom Brady building instant chemistry. This week, any work in that area is temporarily being put on hold.
Lloyd missed his second straight practice on Thursday after also missing Wednesday night's practice in front of season-ticket holders at Gillette Stadium.
Lloyd, 31, did work on the side of Thursday's practice, though he did not join the team.
Whatever injury Lloyd is suffering is not yet known, but the Boston Herald's Jeff Howe speculated that Lloyd's stretching was "typical for players who tweaked something."
It was a rough day for receivers in general, as Deion Branch and Jabar Gaffney both left practice early.
