2 Dead After Car, Pickup Truck Crash Near Braintree High School
BRAINTREE (CBS) - Two stepbrothers were killed in a crash near Braintree High School early Wednesday morning.
A pickup truck was travelling south on Granite Street when it collided with a Honda Civic heading north just after 4 a.m. Police said the crash happened on the pickup truck's side of the road. The car ended up in the woods.
Braintree Police later said two men in the Honda died. They were identified as Bryan Davila Martinez, 23, and Jan Rivera, 20, both from Randolph. The men, who are stepbrothers, were on their way to work at Walmart in Quincy when the crash occurred.
The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital with what were described as "non-life-threatening injuries."
Police shut down Granite Street in both directions for about four hours after the collision. There's still no word yet on what caused the crash.
No other information is available at this point in the investigation.
Ziau Tran has lived on Granite Street for almost 20 years.
"Too many accidents right there," he told WBZ-TV. "Nobody stops."
