Brady Ready For 'Big Challenge' From Texans On MNF
BOSTON (CBS) - Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are no strangers to playing on national TV.
But that doesn't mean it gets old.
"Those are fun moments," Brady recalls of his Monday Night appearances. "As your career goes on, you realize the opportunities are fewer and fewer. You appreciate them and you relish the opportunity to go out there with your teammates and accomplish something."
Brady is 12-4 in his career on Monday Night Football, and will look to improve on that record Monday night when the Patriots host the 11-1 Houston Texans at Gillette Stadium.
It won't be easy taking on the AFC's top team, as the Texans will throw a powerful offense and solid defense at New England as they look to take another step closer to locking up the number-one seed in the AFC.

Monday night's match-up will give the Patriots a good chance to test themselves against another NFL powerhouse.
"They're a great football team. Any time you play the best, you want to see how you match up," said Brady. "I think that our guys are excited and it's a big challenge for us. They're an excellent football team in all three phases. They do a great job. It will be fun."
The Patriots have had plenty of fun during the month of December for the last decade. The Pats have not lost a game in December since 2009, and you have to go even further back to 2002 to find the last time they lost a home game during the month.

Brady credits to his team learning from their early season mistakes as to why they have played so well come December.
"December is the last month to really improve. Coach puts pressure on us in practice every day to improve to get better and not to make the same mistakes [and] to learn from our mistakes. I think we as a team have responded to that and played well," said Brady. "That's what's important this time of the year: to not make the same mistakes we were making in September and to play our best football. This will be a great week to see if we can accomplish that."
