Boys Alert Gloucester Firefighters To Burning Building

GLOUCESTER (CBS) - Six-year-old Dillon Rochford and his brothers love to ride their bikes, and when they go out it's never boring. But on Sunday morning, they saw something in their Gloucester neighborhood they had never seen before.

Dillon says, "I noticed smoke over there and people yelling and banging."

Bryce Rochford says, "There was smoke and fire coming out of the roof and walls."

There was a fire down the street, in a multi-family building and home of their favorite pizza shop.

Dillon knew right away there was trouble. So he and his brother ran over to the firehouse and knocked on the door to get help.

Dillon says, "I thought, uh-oh, we better tell the fireman. So we banged on the door."

Fire crews raced to the scene and got everyone out safely

Dillon says there wasn't time to worry. "No, I wasn't scared," he said. "I was thinking, it might fall down."

Their mother Sari Rochford is beaming with pride. "I can't stop hugging them and telling them how proud of them I am," she says.

A quick thinking move by two little guys that made a big difference.
