Boy Hospitalized After Being Hit By Truck In Foxboro
FOXBORO (CBS) – A 13-year-old boy suffered serious head injuries after he was hit by a truck on Baker Street in Foxboro Monday afternoon.
Police say the boy was crossing the street on a bicycle and was thrown 20 feet when he was hit.
The boy was transported by MedFlight helicopter to Tufts Medical Center in Boston. His condition was unknown Monday night.
The driver of the truck, 28-year-old Sean Fitzgerald of Foxboro, was questioned and released by police. Fitzgerald was cited for a commercial vehicle infraction but does not face any criminal charges in connection with the crash.
The truck is owned by the J. Jerome landscaping company of North Easton.
