Boxer Danny O'Connor On Toucher & Rich: Boston Fight Preview
Framingham native Danny O'Connor started boxing at 15-years-old and is making a name for himself in the boxing world. This southpaw light welterweight boasts a 16-1 record with four knockouts.
On Thursday night, O'Connor takes on New York's Daniel "The Hudson Valley Kid" Sostre in 10-round contest. This will be the first professional boxing card at the Boston House of Blues.
O'Connor and Dropkick Murphys founder Ken Casey, who has been a manager of sorts for O'Connor, joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich in studio to talk about tomorrow night's fight and his only loss as a pro.

When the chance came for O'Connor to really breakout and have a shot at making Showtime he lost his first and only fight as a pro so far. Though maybe he shouldn't have even fought that night looking back on it.
"It came to the surface that I had a few health issues. I had and ulcer that was bleeding at the time and during the fight I broke my nose, so post fight I had nasal surgery. You know it just wasn't my night in the office, it was a bad night."
Since that night Danny has started training with renowned trainer Ronnie Shields in Houston, Texas. The guys discussed how his training changed and the noticeable differences in his fighting and how excited he is to showcase his abilities in front of a hometown crowd.
