40 South Street

40 South Street is the new name of an old vintage shop called Gumshoe. As Gumshoe, they served the local area for more than 25 years as a vintage store exclusively for men. However, 40 South Street recently added vintage women's fashions to the store's repertoire to broaden the customer base. The store isn't very glamorous and space is limited, but what it lacks in square footage 40 South Street more than makes up for with its nice selection of clothing, especially from the threads from the 1960s and 1970s.

The pieces here eccentric and one-of-a-kind, which makes this shop a local favorite. Like many other vintage shops, Oona's Experienced Clothing is short on space. Boston, MA 02118

SoWa Vintage Market is not technically a vintage shop. It is actually an entire collection of vendors who sell vintage furnishings, jewelry, art, lighting, decor, clothing and antiques. The marketplace is open only on Sundays and the first Friday of each month, but a trip here is well worth the wait. All of the vendors here are required to rotate their stock on a weekly basis to keep their inventory fresh and exciting. They do not sell reproductions, modern furnishings or imports, but instead offer strictly vintage and antique goods.
