Boston's Best Restaurants For Easter Brunch 2013

Easter 2013, a perfect time to gather with family or friends for a celebration over brunch, is coming up on March 31. Forget about shopping, cleaning and cooking up a storm at home because some of the area's best restaurants will offer either prix-fixe menus, buffets or additional a la carte selections. There is a wide range of choices for dining out for Easter brunch.

On Sunday, March 31, Darryl's is offering extended hours for Easter brunch from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Featuring its famous brunch buffet and live jazz music, it is sure to be one of the most popular days of the year. Darryl's will serve an expanded menu where diners can indulge with the all-you-can-eat buffet-style brunch. A carving station, jambalaya, scrambled eggs, grits, waffles, turkey bacon and ham are just a few of the offerings to look forward to. Plus favorites like fried chicken, BBQ ribs, rice and beans, collard greens, candied yams and mac and cheese, with assorted desserts will be available. Pricing is $29.95 for adults and children ages five to 12 can dine for just $17.95.

From 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., diners can indulge for $39 per person, not including tax and gratuity. The menu may include such options as arugula salad with candied hazelnuts and lemon vinaigrette, brioche French toast with strawberries or satisfying selections like the Vermont lamb shoulder with mint pesto for the main meal. Plus there will be a selection of house-made desserts featured on the decadent dessert cart to choose from.

Located in the Back Bay at The Lenox, there will be a special Easter a la carte brunch menu, with prices ranging from $9 to $25. Head in for brunch from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for this fabulous feast. Menu selections include appetizers like the crab and smoked ham bisque with shoestring potatoes along with entrees like the roasted leg of lamb with rosemary, sautéed potatoes, fava beans and mint demi-glace. Sandwiches will be served as well including the fresh mozzarella and tomato tartin with basil pesto and balsamic reduction on ciabatta bread alongside a small mixed green salad.

Entertainment Cruises will be hosting its annual family-friendly Easter celebrations on the water aboard its dining and entertainment ships. Make Easter Sunday standout on March 31 with a trip on the Boston Harbor aboard the Odyssey or Spirit of Boston.
