Music is an important part of every child's life. Music improves mood and allows kids to express themselves. Taking music lessons is particularly beneficial for childhood development. Studies have proven time and time again that music lessons help children do better in school and develop stronger math skills. While music doesn't always seem like a priority, it's important to consider enrolling children in lessons to give them a chance to find their musical passions! There is also "musicskool," which is specifically geared towards young children ages two years and up. Musicskool is great for kids that have recently grown out of Groovy Baby Music.

Children that are particularly interested in singing should definitely try out for the Boston Children's Chorus. This special group is founded on the principles of diversity, empathy and harmony. The group does more than just sing — their goal is to inspire social change through music. By joining Boston Children's chorus, kids will learn the importance of teamwork, community service and leading by example. The chorus provides opportunity for kids to perform at a variety of events and even travel for special shows across the country.

Groovy Baby Music is a Boston-based group with music classes geared towards very young children. With locations in Downtown Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, Somerville, Charlestown, South Boston and Dorchester, there are ways for all Boston area parents to enroll their tots! From baby rhythm classes to yoga, these are the most well-rounded babies in town! Most classes are for infants to kids age four. These classes are a great way to help children develop a love for music early on so they'll be inspired to take instrument lessons or join a chorus as they grow!
