Pride Week is almost here! Support Boston's vibrant LGBT community by attending one of the week's awesome events! Many of these events are free to attend and centrally located, making it a great meeting spot for some summer fun outside.

Mayor Martin J. Walsh invites Boston residents and community members to join him in officially kicking off Pride Week. The rainbow flag will then be raised over City Hall. Though this event is mostly symbolic, if the weather is nice, it can evolve into a really fun day of networking, celebrating, and meeting new people, all in the spirit of Pride! It is also a great event to attend if you are unable to make the major event on June 13.

Rain or shine, the Pride Parade will take place on June 13, so dress to impress and join the celebration! The Pride Parade is a Boston tradition promoting equality, tolerance, diversity and celebrating unity. This is the most well-attended, and well-loved event of Pride Week year after year and is a party not to be missed! The theme of this year's parade is "wicked proud" - the perfect slogan for Boston's LGBT community!

This signature event is all about fun - music, dancing, food and drinks! EDM sensation DJ Tatiana will be spinning tracks all afternoon to get everyone amped up about Pride. American Idol and The Voice alum Frenchie Davis will also be performing. This event has a suggested entrance donation of $15 and for people looking for a VIP experience, tickets are available for $50 - $75. This tickets include a meet and greet with the DJs, private bathrooms, a complimentary glass of champagne, and stage access.

Another important event that helps kick of Pride week is the annual AIDS Walk and 5K Run. Though you may not hear much about it, there are more than 25,000 people in Massachusetts that currently live with HIV/AIDS. While these days the disease is manageable, the medications are extremely expensive and there is no true cure. Help make further research, development and support possible by fundraising and participating in the AIDS Walk. This is Boston's 18th AIDS walk!

Date: June 13, 2015 at 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Teens will absolutely love the Youth Dance - for ages 21 and under only! This alcohol-free event extends Pride to a younger generation. All interested are encourage to join in the fun at City Hall Plaza for a neon-themed party with great music, dancing and food. Event tickets cost $10.
