For almost 50 years, family-friendly restaurant Imperial has been making its infamous pizzas for locals and visitors right in Brighton Center. Although the pizza is delicious, it is the chicken parm that you won't want to miss. Fried chicken cutlets are piled onto a 10-inch sub roll and then smothered with house-made marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. They are toasted up for perfectly crispy bread with melted cheese in this affordable sub, which is under $6. There is also the option to have chicken parm cutlets over spaghetti or ravioli instead of a sub, or you can go for the hearty chicken parm calzone. Imperial Pizza delivers, plus it is open daily until midnight and on weekends until 1 a.m.

Right in the North End, surrounded by all of the Italian restaurants the neighborhood has to offer, is Dino's. Known for its massive subs, you will never leave hungry from this casual local eatery. You can barely see the chicken since it is completely covered with melted cheese on the chicken parm sub or the ziti dinner. Besides chicken parm, you can also order the veal parm or the eggplant, both of which are equally as delicious and hearty.

Perfect for date night, a nice family dinner or even a gathering with friends over Italian cuisine and wine is Salvatore's, which has quickly added new locations around the Boston area. Start off your meal with soup, calamari, meatballs, antipasto or one of the many authentic Italian appetizers. Then dig into one of the parm options. There is traditional eggplant, chicken or even pork chops parmesan served alongside house-made pasta and marinara sauce for $19 to $26. There are also plenty of specialty pizzas and even a gluten-free menu.

For chicken parmesan a variety of ways, Viga is a quick take-out restaurant perfect for a lunch break. Located in the Financial District, it serves up lightly breaded chicken breast, provolone cheese and marinara sauce in a sub roll, or you can get it over pasta like wheat rotini, rigatoni or penne. You can also get a calzone. One of Viga's best pizzas is the chicken parm pizza with its signature pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and sliced chicken parm cutlets, all for under $10.

Another North End restaurant that is worth a visit for this dish is La Famiglia Giorgio's. Choose from penne, linguine, angel hair, fettuccine, ravioli or gnocchi with the chicken parm entrée. If those aren't enough options, you could instead order tortellini, fusilli, rigatoni or even cavatelli. The chicken parmigiana here also features lightly breaded fried cutlets with melted mozzarella cheese along with plenty of marinara sauce for $17 to $20. The extensive menu offers so many options for diners like seafood, steak, pizza, salads and plenty of appetizers for sharing like shrimp cocktail or stuffed eggplant.
