Whether you're a beginner or you're looking to learn some new skills, there are quite a few options to choose from. If you'd like to learn how to get the most out of Gmail, there's a class for that... or, if you want to learn about social media and networking cites like Facebook, there is a class on that as well. Many of the classes are about four sessions and are offered at convenient times. Some classes take place on Saturdays, while others are offered after work hours (6:45 - 8:45 p.m.).

For someone who is really interested in gaining a skill set in computer technology, ONLC is the place. They offer a wide variety of courses that are taught by a remote instructor. The training center also offers various exams for certification in multiple areas. Not only do these things look great on a resume, but some businesses actually require them. Classes at ONLC are on the expensive side (about $300 per class), but are worth it if that's what you need to advance your career.

There are 12-week computer classes offered at the Cambridge Public Library several times a year. There is an introduction to computers class for beginners with no knowledge of how computers work: Computers I, which is an introduction to Word, internet and e-mail, and Computers II, which teaches students an introductory to Excel and PowerPoint and some advanced Word techniques. These classes are free to the public and run from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the library's computer lab.
