Red Sox Flight To Houston Diverted To Detroit Due To Mechanical Issue
BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Red Sox got to Houston later than expected for their weekend series with the Astros.
The team was traveling on Delta Flight 8884 from Toronto to Houston Thursday night when they had to land in Detroit because of a potential mechanical issue.
The Red Sox told WBZ-TV the team was put on a new plane and continued on to Houston.
The Red Sox will play the Astros Friday at 8 p.m. They're currently 5.5 games behind the New York Yankees in the American League East.
