Boston Ranked No. 3 On List Of Best Cities For College Graduates
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston ranked No. 3 on the list of best cities in which to live for college graduates, according to Career Builder and Apartments.com.

"We looked at unemployment rate, their concern with the actual number of jobs available. So we looked at how many entry-level positions are available in these markets. And we also looked at the average salary for an entry level position in those markets. Then of course, how much a one-bedroom rent is going to be," said Pete Muscarella with Apartments.com.
Muscarella said Boston is high on the list because of the availability of jobs and so much to do. The downside, of course, is the cost of housing.
"You know there are a lot of colleges and universities there so there's a lot of demand with limited supply, which drives the rent up, but the average salary is also high in Boston, so that's great," said Muscarella.
Boston had the highest average rent of any city on the list, including New York and San Francisco.
