Boston Will Not Drop Mask Mandate In City Schools On February 28, Wu Says
BOSTON (CBS) - The statewide mask mandate for schools in Massachusetts will end February 28, but not in Boston.
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said Thursday she will not drop the mask mandate in city schools. At a news conference at City Hall, the mayor said she is still looking for downward trends in COVID positivity rates and hospitalizations.
The state announced Wednesday it is now allowing cities and towns to set their own masking policies in schools.
