Boston Pops Concert Pops Up At Logan To Promote July 4th Spectacular Webcast
BOSTON (CBS) – Travelers at Logan Airport's Terminal B were pleasantly surprised Monday morning when the Boston Pops popped by with a pop-up concert.
Twelve members of the Pops including conductor Keith Lockhart performed at about 7:30 to promote the livestreaming of the annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular at the Charles River Esplanade on the Fourth of July.

It was the first of several pop-up concerts in a busy day for the Pops as they prepare for Friday's big show.

Pop-up concerts will take place across the Northeast from Logan to Times Square over the course of the day.

"We're advertising the fact the Pops is going to give its first-ever free webcast of an entire Boston Pops concert this July 4th," Lockhart told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens.
The web stream will give the Pops a worldwide audience. It starts at 8 p.m. Friday on CBSBoston and bostonpopsjuly4th.org.
