Boston Police Shoot Man In South Boston
SOUTH BOSTON (CBS) – Boston police shot a man in South Boston Tuesday afternoon.
It happened around 1 p.m. on Old Colony Avenue near Joe Moakley Park.
Two Boston police officers were responding to a call for a drug investigation. When they arrived they saw a man run away.
During the chase the man allegedly raised a gun at the officers and fired.
According to police, one, and possibly both, officers fired back. The suspect was hit in the chest.
He was rushed to Tufts Medical Center in what police said is "decent" condition.
The officers were not hurt.
No names were released.
