Boston Police Release Surveillance Video To Find Homicide Suspect

BOSTON (CBS) -- Boston police are hoping that by releasing video of a homicide suspect they'll be able to find him.

The suspect is wanted in the December 16 shooting death of 21-year-old Demetrius Blocker. Police say they were called to Horadan Way that afternoon for a person who had been shot. They found Blocker who was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital where he died.

Authorities say Blocker was waiting for a relative in the rear parking area when a black or Hispanic man came to his car and shot Blocker several times.

What police say they've been able to piece together is the suspect then ran onto Horadan Way and made his way to McGreevey Way across Saint Alphonsus Street to Longwood Avenue to Huntington Avenue. The suspect goes out of view after crossing Huntington Avenue going right in the T stop.

The suspect is seen in the video wearing a black jacket with fur trim. He is last seen standing at the crosswalk where he raised the hood to his jacket.

Anyone who may recognize the suspect is asked to call Boston police at 617-343-4470. Anonymous tips can be called to the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or text the word 'TIP' to CRIME.
