Boston Police: Recent Attacks On Women May Be Connected
BOSTON (CBS) – Boston Police are trying to determine if the robbery of a woman Monday night is related to the attempted robbery and assault of another woman earlier in the day.
Late Monday morning a surveillance camera caught an attempted robbery near Mass. Ave. The video shows a woman walking down Huntington Ave. when she was attacked from behind by six people.
A similar incident occurred Monday night. Officers responded to a radio call of a robbery in progress at Marlborough and Gloucester Streets. The victim says she felt a tug at her bag, and then got into a physical struggle with the group.
She says the group of approximately five Hispanic males and females fled with her purse after she was physically assaulted.
In the earlier incident, surveillance video showed a member of the group tugging at the woman's bag, and assaulting her.
