Boston Police Look To Link 3 Indecent Incidents In Dorchester
BOSTON (CBS) -- Boston police are trying to identify a suspect or suspects involved in three separate indecent incidents in Dorchester that occurred over the past month.
Investigators say a woman was walking in the Auckland Street area around 6 a.m. on Friday, when an older-model, boxy-style red car drove up behind her and then stopped near her.
An Hispanic man with a scruffy bear allegedly tried to grab her while his pants were unzipped, but she was able to run away from him despite him chasing her, grabbing her, and attempting to pull her back to the car. She ran across Dorchester Avenue, where several people came to help her.
The man was last seen in the Dorchester Avenue and Columbia Road area, police say.
Police say another incident happened in the Savin Hill Avenue area around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. A woman jogging saw an Hispanic man with wavy hair and a ponytail sitting in a red, newer-model Toyota sedan with his pants undone, investigators say.
After she ran by the car, he allegedly followed her until she sought help from a nearby bicyclist. He drove off in an unknown direction.
On Oct. 5 around 5:30 a.m., police say a woman was walking through an Auckland Street parking lot when a 25-to-30-year-old Hispanic man got out of a black van and gestured for her to get in. She ignored him and kept walking until the suspect blocked her path, pulled down his pants and exposed himself to her, police say.
She yelled at the man, and he quickly jumped into the van and drove off in an unknown direction.
