Boston Police Head Of Detectives On Leave Pending Investigation
BOSTON (CBS) – The head of detectives for the Boston Police Department is now the target of an investigation.
In a brief statement Wednesday afternoon, police spokeswoman Cheryl Fiandaca said, "Superintendent Bruce Holloway has been place(d) on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation."
No other details were provided.
But Holloway's attorney, Timothy Burke, told the Boston Herald the issue "arises from a relationship with a former girlfriend," who he said Holloway filed a restraining order against in August.
Holloway joined the department in May 1979. He was promoted to his current post in July 2007.
