Boston Police Get Ready For St. Patrick's Day
BOSTON (CBS) -- Before the party starts police in Boston are taking steps to make sure people are safe for St. Patrick's Day.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to turn out for the parade in South Boston on Sunday. But you'll see extra officers starting Thursday, and they say they'll crack down on any public drinking and rowdiness.

"We'll have a lot of extra patrols watching the bars, watching the liquor stores and addressing the loud parties that occur in the neighborhoods, especially in South Boston over the next couple days," said William Evans, superintendent for Boston Police.
Liquor stores in the city will close at 4 p.m. Sunday and bars will shut their doors at 6:30 p.m.
