Boston Police Say Fatal Shootings Likely Gang Related
BOSTON (AP) — Boston police say two fatal shootings this weekend both appear to be gang related.
But Officer James Kenneally, a department spokesman, says Saturday's shootings do not appear to be linked to each other.
Police say a man in his 20s was killed in Dorchester at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. They say he walked into a hospital suffering from gunshot wounds and later died after being transferred to another hospital.
The second victim was shot in Roxbury just after 10 a.m. Saturday. Police say that man was sitting in his car and suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
That shooting occurred near a makeshift memorial for an Oct. 19 fatal shooting.
