Boston Police Crack Down On Drug Paraphernalia Sales
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Police have cracked down on drug paraphernalia and bootlegged product at 14 Roxbury convenience stores.
Acting on complaints from neighbors, Boston Police, armed with search warrants, confiscated hundreds of drug-related items and bootlegged drugs Friday.
"Operation Straight Shooter" was launched this summer in the Dudley Street/lower Blue Hill Ave/Grove Hall section of Roxbury.

The media room at police headquarters was filled with tables covered with crack pipe kits, pipes, scales, packets of Viagra, and pirated DVD's.
Superintendent Bruce Holloway says one store owner was arrested and his Central Convenience on Blue Hill Ave. was shut down. The rest are being summoned to court.
If found guilty, the store owners could face penalties up to two years in jail and thousands in fines.
