Boston Moves Closer To Banning E-Cigarette Sales To Minors
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston is one step closer to passing a proposal that would ban the sale of electronic cigarettes to anyone under 18.
The rule would also make using e-cigarettes at work illegal.
E-cigarettes are smokeless devices which deliver nicotine in the form of vapor.
Boston's Public Health Commission approved the measure.
The commission will hear opinions from the public -- then hold a final vote on the proposal in November.
Many people use them to wean themselves off real cigarettes.
The proposal would require stores to get a permit to sell them.
