Boston Marathon Weather Forecast: Sunny, Fairly Mild
BOSTON (CBS) – Here is the latest on the forecast for this weekend and Marathon Monday.
We're feeling better about a timeline for the weekend storm today.

Saturday looks as though it will remain dry for most of the daylight hours. Rain moves in at night and continues through about midday on Sunday.
The storm then moves out of New England fairly rapidly Sunday afternoon and evening. Therefore, we are expecting Monday to start mainly sunny and fairly mild.
Temperatures in Hopkinton in the morning will be near 40 degrees and rising.
There will be a frontal boundary approaching from our west in the afternoon and evening on Monday and ahead of that the winds should be mainly out of the west-southwest – that means a tail wind for runners, also a warm wind direction.
So temperatures along the route should climb well into the 50's, and peak around 60 or in the low 60's by mid afternoon.
There will likely be some increase in cloud cover through the day and we cannot totally rule out a brief rain shower late in the day from that cool front.
So, at this point, it appears to be a fairly typical mid-April day, perhaps a bit warmer than most runners would like though.
Thankfully nothing like what we had in 2004 when temperatures reached 86 degrees along the route and of course there was "the run for the hoses" back in 1976 - the hottest Boston marathon on record, temps peaked around 96 degrees that day!
