Boston Marathon Tribute Goalie Mask, Signed By Tuukka Rask, Being Raffled Away For Charity
BOSTON (CBS) - A goaltender's mask that pays tribute to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings is being raffled off for charity, with proceeds going to the One Fund.
Kyle Acomb, a local goalie, ordered the mask to be made by Dom Malerba of Pro's Choice. He makes the masks for several goaltenders, including Tuukka Rask. It was painted by David Leroux, a Montreal artist (you can see some of his work at DielAirbrush.ca).
The finely crafted mask (pictured below) is colored marathon blue and gold, and features portraits of Krystle Campbell, Martin Richard and Lingzi Lu, who lost their lives in the attack. The mask also shows Sean Collier, the slain MIT police officer who was killed, allegedly by the bombing suspects. Along the jawline of the mask is a list of the names of all of the victims who were injured at the finish line.
At the chin is the Boston Athletic Association's crest, and it sports a Tuukka Rask autograph on the side.
The right side proclaims "WE ARE ONE, BOSTON STRONG," and the left shows the medal of the 117th Boston Marathon. The back features a Boston Strong ribbon, and a quote from President Barack Obama that reads, "We carry on. We race. We strive."
Tickets for the raffle cost $2 each. There is a five-ticket purchase minimum. They can be purchased by clicking here. All proceeds go to the One Fund. More information on the mask is available on its Facebook page.

The raffle winner will also receive two luxury box tickets to a Bruins playoff game, and two custom painted Boston Strong Bose headsets.
The drawing will take place on April 22.
According to Acomb, the mask is on display at Forum restaurant on Boylston Street, where one of the bombs exploded last April.
