Boston Marathon Forecast: Can't Ask For Much Better Weather
BOSTON (CBS) - Four days from the big race and the forecast has never been more optimistic!
The chances for any precipitation are getting lower and lower and the biggest wildcard now appears to be a developing sea breeze during the race.

A large area of high pressure will crest over New England on Easter Sunday, bringing wall-to-wall sunshine and very pleasant conditions.
The high will then slide just offshore on Monday, keeping us mainly sunny, dry and seasonable.
The cold front, which we were initially concerned may bring rain showers late in the day, now appears as though it will hold off until Tuesday.
So let's break down the forecast from Hopkinton to Boston.
Sunrise in Hopkinton
Skies will be clear and temperatures will be cool early in the morning, 30-to-35 degrees with very little wind.
9 a.m. in Hopkinton
Race time! The first wave about to head off on their journey. Very pleasant, sunny skies, temperatures rising into the 40's, little or no wind.
11 a.m. in Hopkinton
As the last wave of runners prepares for departure, there will be no weather issues. In fact, conditions will be just about ideal, perhaps just a tad milder than some would like. Sunny and calm, temperatures near 50 degrees, the same in Boston at that hour. Winds will be light, 5-to-10 mph out of the south-southwest (a tailwind).
1 p.m. on the course
Lots of sunshine, perhaps some high, wispy clouds filtering the sunshine just a bit. Temperatures from Framingham through Wellesley will be mild, ticking a degree or two higher each hour and now reaching into the mid to upper 50's. Southwest winds continue here 5-to-10 mph. Closer to Boston, a light sea breeze (5-to-10 mph) will likely develop, knocking temperatures down a tad right in the city, between 45 and 50.
3 p.m. on the course
Lots of runners coming down Boylston Street at this hour under nearly ideal conditions. Inland, temperatures will soar between 60 and 65 degrees, a bit too warm for most, but the majority of those still running will be entering the refreshing sea breeze in Boston. Temperatures in Boston will range from 45-50 degrees with just a light (5-10 mph) east-southeast wind. Again, mainly sunny skies, just some very high, thin clouds.
If you're going to run 26.2 miles, you can't ask for much better weather than this!
We'll keep an eye on things over the next few days, but at this point I would not expect any major weather changes or issues.
So whether you are running, spectating or perhaps headed to Fenway Park on Monday, it looks like a gorgeous day to be outdoors!
