Boston Marathon Explosion: Witnesses React
BOSTON (CBS) - Two explosions rocked Boylston Street near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday. WBZ-TV's Paul Burton was running in the event and was about 50 yards away from one of the explosions.
"I saw the whole thing," said Burton. He says after the second explosion, people started running the opposite direction on the marathon route. "We knew that this race was over and we knew that something terrible had happened."

Victims were taken to medical tents that were set up for the marathon runners after the finish line.
"When were in there we just heard two very loud bangs," said the medical worker. "Some of the injuries were very profund, one of the women had lost her leg, lots of bleeding, children were involved as well."
