Beth Roche was overcome with emotion as she spoke to reporters Tuesday at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

She and her husband were near the finish line, cheering on her daughter who was running in the marathon, when the bombs went off.

Roche says she's forever indebted to the stranger who helped her at the scene.

"I felt very alone but when he was there I felt like there was somebody protecting me," Roche said. " I would love to give you a hug and if you had a wish, I would want to provide that wish."
