Boston man charged with rape
A 24-year-old Boston man has been accused of raping the 7-year-old daughter of a family he met at church.
Authorities say Erik Roldan was held on $100,000 bail after pleading not guilty on Thursday in Brighton District Court to three counts of rape of a child with force, and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. Prosecutors say he assaulted the girl multiple times over the past six months, often in the girl's own home while visiting her parents. He was arrested Wednesday at a Bible study session.
Prosecutors say he got the girl to keep quiet by threatening to "rip apart her stuffed animals," but she went to her mother on Aug.
