Boston Covering Public Safety Costs For President Obama's Visit
BOSTON (CBS) - You won't hear the mayor of Boston complaining about any cost associated with President Barack Obama's visit.

Even though the stop in Boston is a campaign visit for the president, Mayor Tom Menino says the city will pick up the tab for their share of security and public safety personnel.
Menino said no one has raised the issue of costs like in Durham, New Hampshire for the president's visit there.
"(It's) the President of the United States, and I respect the office he holds. I might not like the guy, but the office he holds is important to all of us, and we respect that office," said Mayor Menino. "I'm not gonna let petty politics play any part of what the presidential visit (means) to the city of Boston."
Menino said the president's visit is a big deal and an honor for the city, and he wants to make sure the president has a great visit to Boston.
"It's very exciting for the city. I'll just say we're honored by having him here tonight," said Mayor Menino.
