Boston College Soccer Player Suspended For Penn State, Sandusky Tweets
CHESTNUT HILL (CBS/AP) — The second-leading scorer on the Boston College women's soccer team has been barred by the school from playing in an NCAA tournament game against Penn State for online comments she made about the Jerry Sandusky scandal.

Athletic Director Brad Bates said in a statement that Stephanie McCaffrey "used very poor judgment and exhibited insensitivity" for comments on her Twitter account.
She has been suspended from the team.
McCaffrey sent out 10 tweets referencing the Penn State showers and former assistant football coach Sandusky, who was convicted in June of abusing 10 boys.
The Penn State blog Onward State published some of the tweets.
McCaffrey's tweets and her entire Twitter account were taken down Thursday night.
Bates said in a statement that "this type of behavior is not tolerated among our student-athletes."
McCaffrey apologized in a statement Thursday.
"I now realize how inappropriate and disgusting my Tweets were today. It was not my intention to offend you or your school, and I regret all my actions from the bottom of my heart."
Boston College plays Penn State Friday night in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
McCaffrey, a sophomore from Winchester who graduated from Buckingham, Browne & Nichols, has nine goals and six assists for the 10-5-3 Eagles.
Her older brother James is a defensive back on the BC football team.
